The Clubs attending at italian "Serie A" during the season 2007-2008, are allowed to contract only ONE non-EEC player, on condition that the he substitues another non-EEC transferred to a foreign country or whose contract expired until 30 June 2007.
Players who have signed a contract with non-ECC status and gain the EEC citizenship are fully compared to a EEC player.
In this case, the society that owns the contract of the player already become EEC is allowed to sign up a contract with another non-EEC player, unles the society itself had already signed a non-EEC player in change of another one transferred to a foreign country, or whose contract expired until 30 Jun 2007.
The clubs who have just been promoted to "Serie A" are able to sign a maximum of 3 non-EEC players. If these clubs already have 3 or more non-EEC players, their are able to sign just ONE non-EEC, on condition that he substitues another non-EEC transferred to a foreign country or whose contract expired until 30 June 2007.
The clubs attending at italian "Serie B" can't sign non-EEC players coming from foreign countries.
The clubs attending at italian "Serie C1" and "Serie C2" can't sign up non-EEC players coming from foreign countries, neither transfer, with the status of a pro, these players who are playing with the status different from the professional one. Clubs who have just been promoted to "Serie C2" are able to sign, with a professional contract, amateur (non-professionistic) players of foreign countries who have been already under contract in Season 2006/07.
The limited number of transfers for professional Clubs doesn't include non-EEC players already under contract, in Italy, with professional Clubs.
Swiss players are fully compared to EEC players.
The transfer, without numerical restriction, as young non-EEC players is allowed on condition that:
- young non-EEC players are resident in Italy in retinue of family and for reason not linked with sports, or they have been contracted, at least for one season, with an amateur club or a club that makes young/scholastic activities.
