| FOOTBALL PLAYERS CATEGORIES |
Professional football players – work for money and are members of the National Professionals League (A and B Series), or of the Professionals League of the C Series (C1 and C2).
They become professional football players by subscribing a contract with a football club. This contract lasts not more than five sports seasons for major football players, and not more than three sports seasons for minor ones. |
| Non professional football players – are the 18 years old members of football clubs belonging to the National Amateurs League. |
| Junior football players – are older than eight years, but they haven’t reached the 16th year of age on January, the 1st, of the year the football season starts. The junior football player is bound to his football club only for one sports season. |
Junior amateur football players – from the age of 14 years can conclude an agreement with the football club of the National Amateurs League, which they are members of. This contract lasts until the end of the sports season (June, the 30th), when they turn 25 years old.
Football players bound to such a contract are called "junior amateur football players" as long as they are minors, and "non professional football players", when they turn 18 years old. |
Series junior football players – are members of professional football clubs from the age of 14 years on. "Series junior football players" undertake a contract lasting till the end of the sports season of the year they turn 19 years old.
During the last season of the contract the "series football player" has the right to draw a recompense yearly established by the League, as he’s the subject of a technical training relation, and without acquiring the status of professional. |
Recreation football players – play during particular recreational events summoned or authorized by the National Amateurs League (e.g. summer football tournaments or football for five); they are provided with a membership card by the Committees of the same League, with the allowance of the football club which they are members of during the sports year.
The membership contract lasts only for the duration of the event and doesn’t prejudice a different and eventual contemporary contract of the same football player. |
